Pep Guardiola admits Manchester City can’t compete with top teams. After Champions League exit to PSG – ‘just have to accept it’

Pep Guardiola’s side took a 2-0 lead. But Paris Saint-Germain scored four goals in a row to send Manchester City slumping to a 4-2 defeat in the Champions League’s seventh round. Of the league phase on Wednesday night, leaving the 2022-23 European champions facing elimination. 

The team is ranked 25th out of 36 teams in the table and if they do not win against Club Brugge next week. They will not be able to enter the UEFA Champions League play-offs.

Guardiola admitted his side are not up to par with Luis Enrique’s Paris Saint-Germain, saying: “We struggled and they played better, more focused to win. On a big stage, a big team, we have problems, we have to accept them.”
