Jan-Christian Dreesen is confident the club will reach a new deal with Jamal Musiala, who will become the Bavarians’ highest-paid player.

Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is hopeful the Bavarians will reach an agreement to extend Jamal Musiala’s contract beyond the summer of 2026, Ufabet Germany reported on Monday.

Bayern Munich are reportedly willing to make Musiala the club’s highest-paid player alongside England striker Harry Kane in exchange for a long-term deal until 2029, with directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund having opened talks with the 21-year-old’s representatives.

Bayern’s are prepared to pay Musiala a salary of up to €25m per year and the total package will be worth more than €120m for the four-year contract the club are offering the player, leading Dreesen to believe that things will be done soon.

‘It’s nothing new that we want to extend the contract of one of the world’s top players in our team. Jamal Musiala has developed very well with us. He is a player who inspires the audience, who is phenomenal on a personal level, who can turn the game around, and I really hope that the first really good negotiations between Max Eberl and Christoph Freund with Jamal Musiala will eventually lead to an extension. ‘

However, the Bavarians CEO did not want to set a clear timeframe for reaching this deal in order to reduce unnecessary pressure on anyone both outside and inside the club, so that all parties feel comfortable and do not want to rush too much.

‘I don’t want to put a UFABET timeframe on this right now. The important thing is to get there, even if it doesn’t happen by the end of the year. Jamal Musiala is one of the new faces of Bayern, along with the likes of Alex Pavlovic and Joshua Kimmik. Players like that should shape the club,’ said Driesen.
